Dr. Amaal Schroeder

Dr. Amaal Schroeder obtained her MBChB degree from UCT in 2002 and worked at Paarl and Mowbray Maternity Hospitals before embarking on her Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialty. Although she planned on specialising early on, she elected to complete her family first, and therefore understands first-hand the challenges of a working mother. In 2015, she received the UCT Obstetrics and Gynaecology Alan ALperstein award for surgical skills awarded by her peers for excellence in surgery and completed her training in 2016. Having had extensive experience in the public sector she is a passionate advocate for women's health and the empowerment of women through knowledge and control over their reproductive health. Dr. Amaal Schroeder: "I care deeply about family and I feel that this orientates my passion in my work. Aristotle said that excellence is never an accident. It is the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many choices. I see that as my mission, helping women in making the best choices for their health".
